Drier. Greener. Louder. at The Bunkhouse

When we brought The Bunkhouse into community ownership in 2024, its leaking roofs were one of the biggest challenges facing the building. Since then and as a result of some of the worst ever South Wales storms, we’ve been working with Jordan and partners including Music Venue Trust,  Swansea Council and Welsh Government to secure investment and deliver a major refurbishment that will help protect it for years to come.

The project has gone further than simply replacing the roof, with new biodiverse green roofing and solar panels helping to make the building greener, more resilient and cheaper to operate. On 21 October we’ll be bringing together members, partners and the local community for Drier. Greener. Louder. a free evening of live music and a chance to celebrate everyone who has helped make the project possible.
